On September 13, 2006, there was held the VI International Festival "U.S.-RFE Partnership Activity" in Vladivostok". Far Eastern Center of Economic Education took part in the Festival as well as other participants of the Round 5 of the Program. . The Festival itself is an exhibition of achievements of the international partnerships where one can learn a lot of new facts about Russian-American and Russian-Russian partnership projects funded in the framework of the program "U.S.-RFE Partnership Activity" in the fields of effective municipal management and solving of social-economic problems in strategic cities . The participants of the Festival were partners realizing co-projects both from different cities of Russia - St. Petersburg, Moscow, Dubna (Moskovskaya oblast), Kirov, Tomsk, Seversk (Tomskaya oblast), Krasnoyarsk, Zheleznogorsk (Krasnoyarsky Krai), Snezhinsk (Chelyabinskaya oblast), Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Ussuriisk, Bolshoi Kamen (Primorsky Krai), Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Kholmsk, Anivo, Uglegorsk (Sakhalinskaya oblast), - and from USA as well - states Washington, Wisconsin, California. On behalf of the Foundation for Russian American Economic Cooperation, Carol Vipperman , the President of FRAEC, was the first to take the floor with complimentary address, John Mark Pommersheim , the U.S. consul general in the Russian Far East, made a welcome speech on behalf of the U.S. Government , Evgeny Levkin - on behalf of U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID, Moscow), and Susan King - on behalf of U.S.-RFE Partnership Activity program. On September 14–15 , 2006, there was held an International Partnership Conference in the framework of which there was conducted an informational seminar "Partnerships of business, NGOs and authorities in realization of social and charitable activity" , and a working session dedicated to the topic "Priority national projects: education, public health, and available housing" . These very topics of the national projects were the basis of the realized partnership projects funded by FRAEC. On September 14, 2006 in the framework of the Conference "U.S.-RFE Partnership Activity", N.N. Vitkovskaya, FECEE director, Project director, made a report on priority national projects.
